These are some of the winners of the Stars, Stripes & Steps Memorial Day Stair Climbing Race. (that's your Race Director in the middle pretending she won all those awards of folks who couldn't make the ceremony.)
Stars, Stripes & Steps—always on Memorial Day
This unique race carries runners up several historic staircases. With three routes to choose from, there is something for nearly any ability, including a 2 mile Sock Hop, the 5K Crazy Crew and the Knee High Hilly Half Marathon.
The two shorter routes are kid and walker-friendly. Well-behaved pets on leash welcome.

Join us for the Battle Mountain Grand Stair Challenge. On the anniversary of the 9\11\01 attacks, we remember those who lost their lives on that day and honor those who risk all for their fellow Americans every day. Cannot climb? Bring a chair; come to honor, support & remember. Climb once or as many times as you wish.
